Cyerra Fernandes is a 3L at Brooklyn Law School, where she is pursuing a certificate in Intellectual Property, Media, and Technology Law. Her legal education and professional experiences are rooted in the intersection of law and emerging technologies, with a focus on data privacy, cybersecurity, and algorithmic regulation. She brings a strong interest in how legal frameworks respond to digital threats, shaped by her academic coursework in Cybercrime and Enforcement, Internet Law, Antitrust, Trade Secrets, and Negotiation.

Previously, Cyerra interned Bradford Edwards LLP, where she explored the intersection of antitrust law and algorithmic decision-making. Her time with NYC Office of Technology and Innovation, gave her hands-on experience with municipal tech policy and data governance. She has also authored a research paper analyzing the FTC’s enforcement action against Meta in the context of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), highlighting her interest in the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding privacy law.
